Cosimo Taurino Winery
Cosimo Taurino, tradition and innovation
For seven generations, Cosimo Taurino's family has dedicated itself with a spirit of sacrifice, love for the land, and passion to the cultivation of vines, including the ancient and beautiful Apulian bush vines, and to winemaking. The initial commercial successes were achieved in the 1930s by Cosimo's father, with blending wines shipped north to complement other wines with less alcohol and color. Subsequently, the tenacity and perseverance of Dr. Cosimo Taurino laid the foundation for the birth of a full-fledged entrepreneurial venture, processing, refining, and bottling his own wine, with the Notarpanaro® 1970, completely abandoning his profession as a pharmacist.
They do so without losing sight of the essentials: respect for the land, care for their work, and the understanding that wine is, first and foremost, a story of people. Over time, the winery has carved out a stable and credible role within the Apulian winemaking landscape, contributing, along with others, to the region's qualitative and cultural growth. Not through shortcuts or aggressive marketing efforts, but through continuity, consistency, and an enduring family vision. A story that can be seen in the faces, the vineyards, and the wines. And one that continues, every day, to find the right way to be told.
